(1) For type A DTCs, Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) illuminates as soon as fault is detected. For
type B DTCs, MIL is illuminated after 2 consecutive trips where fault is recognized. For type C
DTCs, non-emissions related DTCs will cause MIL to flash as soon as fault is detected. For type
D DTCs, non-emissions related DTCs MIL will not illuminate or flash.
